Scuba diving is an exciting sport that will provide you with a lifetime of adventure. This is a great time to get certified as a scuba diver and begin experiencing the marine environment.
Scuba Camp is a one week program. You must be at least 10 years old to participate and become certified as a Scuba Diver.
Camp will last for one week and includes the following:
Monday - Wednesday will be held in the classroom and pool learning the necessary skills for safe diving. Students will learn about scuba equipment and how it works, learn diving physics, and how to dive safely. In the pool students will learn how to use their equipment, get comfortable with wearing the scuba gear, and learn the basic skills for an enjoyable dive.
Thursday and Friday are the certification dives. Thursday is spent practicing and demonstrating scuba skills learned in the classroom and in the pool. Friday is the final day of training with at least 2 more dives. This last day is to showcase the divers ability to dive safely and and demonstrate mastery of the basic scuba skills.
Dive sites for Thursday and Friday include Lake Denton, Crystal River, Rainbow River, and Blue Grotto.
Successful completion of all required skills and certification dives results in the SDI Open Water Diver Certification.
Drop off and pick up is at Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center (BSAC). Classroom sessions will be held at either BSAC or at Trilogy Dive Center. Pool sessions will be held at BSAC.

- Snorkeling equipment (mask, snorkel, fins, booties) for use during class. You can also purchase snorkeling equipment from Trilogy Dive Center.
Students will need:
- Lunch daily
- Towel
- Change of clothes
- Sunblock
Scuba camps are filled on a first come basis and payment is due at time of registration. Camps are limited to 12 students.
The cost of the one week camp is $495.
