Did you know that one of the world’s top underwater fossil hunting grounds is in Venice, FL…only about an hour’s drive from Tampa?  Divers come to Venice from all over the world to look for giant prehistoric megalodon shark teeth and other fossils.

But…most divers aren’t sure how to do it well or successfully. They just drop off the boat and hope they get lucky.  They don’t know WHY the teeth are there, or WHERE or HOW to look for them.

TRILOGY CAN HELP YOU BEAT THE ODDS!  Sure, you can go shore diving on your own and maybe find a few small shark teeth if you get lucky. But it takes a BOAT DIVE and some KNOWLEDGE of the Venice fossil hunting environment to find the big palm-sized megs.  Most are 3.6 to 20 million years old. You’ll be the first human to ever hold and bring home the fossils that you find!

Trilogy is lucky to have an experienced tooth hunter and scuba instructor on staff to help you find many more shark teeth (and other fossils) than most other divers!  We’ll teach you our tips and tricks in a  Zoom class a few days before the dive, and then meet you in person at the boat and go diving!

Max depth is only 30 feet, so most divers will get at least an hour of bottom time on each dive.  You can choose between a morning (8:15 AM show) or afternoon (12:45 PM show) 2-tank dive.

TANKS ARE INCLUDED and will be waiting for you on the boat. Any rental equipment you need is available at Trilogy…ask us about our rental gear discounts for our tooth trip divers.

Minimum Diver Requirements:

  • Open Water Certified

  • Must have dove in the last 12 months

Single divers are welcome - we'll make sure you have a buddy if you want one.
